- Consecutive interpretation: listening before talking. The interpreter analyzes what is said and chooses words that most accurately convey the meaning and tone of the speaker.
- Conference interpretation: oral rendering of the spoken word in a conference environment usually involving at least 2 interpreters who alternate interpreting at 20 minute intervals.
- Escort interpretation: personal interpreter providing direct assistance on-site, particularly effective during bilateral or multilateral business meetings.
- Telephone interpretation: consecutive interpretation linking 2 or more parties over the telephone who are geographically separated and would not otherwise not have access to language support.
